Delete your RunMyGame account

A RunMyGame account is optional: the app works fully without one. If you have created one, you can ask for it to be deleted at any time, from the app or without it. If you have never created an account, we hold no account data in your name.

From the app

1. Open the Profile tab, then Account.
2. Tap My data.
3. Tap Delete my account, then confirm.

Tip: before deleting, tap Export my data on the same screen. You get a readable JSON file with everything the account keeps, to store wherever you like.

Without the app

Write to contact@ggolabs.com from the email address of the Apple or Google account you use to sign in to RunMyGame, with the subject "RunMyGame account deletion". We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before deleting it. We reply within one month at most (GDPR, Article 12(3)), and the deletion follows the same terms as from the app.

What is deleted

• the account itself and its identifier;
• its sign-in methods and the email address provided by Apple or Google: signing in again would create a new, empty account;
• the account's nickname and avatar;
• synchronised data: finished games and their snapshots, known players, preferences;
• the sign-in sessions open on your devices.

What is kept, and for how long

• Backup copies of our database: deleted data disappears from them within 30 days.
• Link records (which player was linked to an account, and when), in a form that no longer identifies you.
• The link requests you accepted: until they erase themselves, within the hour, they keep the account identifier and the nickname of the linked player.
• Your nickname in other players' games: those games are theirs, and your nickname stays in them as it was.
• The games saved on your device: they stay there until you delete them or uninstall the app. After the deletion, the app keeps working without an account.

Usage statistics

Usage statistics are a separate system from the account: they are never linked to your identity, and they are not deleted with it. Section 4 of the privacy policy explains how to turn them off and delete them from the settings.

Uninstalling is not enough

Uninstalling the app does not delete the account. To delete it, use one of the two ways above.
